Statement of Faith

Concerning the Bible
We believe that the 1611 King James Bible is the preserved Word of God ordained for the English speaking people.  It is our understanding through examination of the scriptures that all other translations are a perversion of the Word of God.

Concerning God
We believe in one God as a triune being, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost

Concerning the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God the Father and Son. He guides believers into all truth, and convicts sinners of sin, righteousness, and judgment

Concerning Christ
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God.  He is the mediator bringing reconciliation between God and man.  We believe that his virgin birth proves his association and sonship to God and makes him eligible as the blood sacrifice for all man’s sins.  That he lived a sinless life on this earth, that he laid down his life as a sacrifice and died, he was buried and the third day he rose again according to the scriptures being the first fruits of those who should live.  We believe that he ascended to the right hand of the Father and is there making intercession for the believers.

Concerning the Fall of Man
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God. However man, through choosing to sin, brought condemnation upon himself and those who would follow in his blood line.  Romans 5:12, Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

Concerning the New Birth
We believe that in order for man to escape from condemnation in Hell, he must be born again.  This consists of 1) The drawing of the Father bringing conviction. 2) Heart felt sorrow for your sins.  3) Repentance and turning from your sins.  4) Believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was sent to die for your sins, that he died and was buried and rose again. 5) Calling upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and confessing to him that you are a sinner and ask him to save you 6) Receive him as your Lord and Savior

Concerning the Security of Believers
We believe that eternal life begins at the time of salvation.  Just as a babies life begins at the time of conception, eternal life begins at the time that a person is born again.  Eternal means simply that.  The born again believer is sealed until the day of redemption, safe in the hands of the Father.

Concerning the Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, and that all born-again believers make up this body. We believe that the local Church is made up of born-again, baptized believers and that it is the only institution Christ established upon this earth.

Concerning Ordinances
We believe that baptism is given as a sign of association with the Lord Jesus Christ.  It is not given as a step to complete salvation but is given to identify the born again believer  with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
As well the Lords supper is given as a memorial to those who are born again and have followed the Lord in believers baptism, showing a symbol of his death

Concerning Heaven and Hell
We believe in a literal Heaven, prepared for those who are saved by his grace and a literal Hell prepared for the devil and his angels and will be shared by those who have rejected the gift of God.
